Plus... a new edition of The Relationship is the Project, upcoming workshops and a reminder about the selflessness of self-care
Welcome to words, thoughts and ponderings. This enews includes Part 3 of my Rethinking Arts Governance report, my thoughts on Australia’s new national cultural policy, and my review of Bronwyn Lovell’s In Bed with Animals (and more).
We can do better than Boards
When it comes to arts governance, our sector has learned how to bend without breaking. But if the cause of most Arts Boards’ dysfunction is our governance model itself, perhaps a break is what we need – to throw the model out and start again. REVIEW: In Bed with Animals
In Bed with Animals is a poetic exposé of gender discrimination and sexual harassment. The experience of one woman and every woman, Bronwyn Lovell’s debut collection captures the ‘wildly frightening’ banality of patriarchy’s bludgeoning of women, animals and the environment. Check out my review on Artshub.
